Deary Diary,
Another week down, only a few more to go! 🙁 This week has been just as busy and fun as ever.
On Monday, I recorded an episode for my podcast Gabz with a ‘Z’ with our Performance Marketer George. We had the best time – and a great chat – after the predictable fifteen minutes of technical difficulties. I wasn’t lying when I said I seem to manifest tech issues… George was a natural and I’m very excited to edit the episode. I’m uploading all episodes this summer, so be sure to check my pod out on Spotify!
On Tuesday, we were all given free ice cream, which set the start of the week off to a great start. Best believe I have been making the most of any freebies and discounts!
I then kick-started the mammoth edits of videos from last week’s Content Day. I have really enjoyed the challenge of video editing – from learning when to cut, the importance of including different shot angles, and experimenting with different transitions and fonts. It has been great to learn all about media production and try my hand at it! I also edited and uploaded a ‘Day in the life of an Intern’ TikTok video, which I’m pleased with, so be sure to check it out.
On Thursday, something super exciting happened. I interviewed a major UK Pokémon influencer and business owner, and will be writing a blog post all about them. All will be revealed soon, but I’m so happy I managed to pull it off and it was such a cool experience. Safe to say I was definitely fangirling and made it known around the office (sorry Ian for bringing it up at least ten times, whoops).
Friday involved recording another podcast episode, this time with the amazing Ava – our Community Executive. Many thanks Ava for not dying from boredom at my yapping and saying the pod was “way more fun than I expected”! I then made some more edits and continued working on a mini-project which will hopefully be released next week… Of course, I attended the weekly Friday afternoon yoga session. I wish I could say my technique is getting better, but I would be lying. Nonetheless, I’m trying my best!
I can’t wait to see what next week brings and to make the most of the remaining fourteen days.
